Next semester, Dr. Alison Gulley will be teaching ENG 4825/4826: Medieval Afterlives which focuses on “medievalism,” or the construction of the medieval period in a post-medieval world. The class will examine how this period is remembered and portrayed in texts such as Disney films, Game of Thrones, The Lord of the Rings and other works of popular fiction.
