ENGL 2130 Ethnic American Literature - Intersections of Latinx and Native American Literatures - Birkhofer (Spring 2023)

This course will center Latinx and Native American U.S. literary voices from 1600 to the present. The purpose of this course is to provide a literary introduction to the study and intersections of Latinx and Native American literatures as American literatures. We will read poetry, short stories, excerpts from novels, and photo-essays. Students will develop a critical understanding of Latinx and Native American literary works and traditions that shape contemporary U.S. literary communities.
