This Fall 2020 semester Dr. Bruce Dick will teach the junior/senior honors seminar in Contemporary American Literature, ENG 4508. The class will study a diverse set of novels, plays, and poetry by various authors who echo the multicultural nature of our current landscape. Works to be examined might include Cormac’s The Road, Russo’s Empire Falls, Lahiri’s Interpreter of Maladies, Tretheway’s Native Guard, or Drury’s Fairview.
Also notable is that this course offers the bonus of a three-day free stay at the New York Loft in November. This depends on student interest and changing travel restrictions.
This class will be taught TR 11:00am-12:15pm
