Poetry submissions for the $3300 2014-15 Truman Capote Literary Trust Scholarship in Creative Writing

Poetry submissions for the $3300 2014-15 Truman Capote Literary Trust Scholarship in Creative Writing will be accepted in the English Office from Tuesday, March 18, through 1 pm, Friday, March 21. Please see instructions on the flyer (LINK). Rising junior and senior English majors who are concentrating in Creative Writing, or who plan to do so, are eligible to enter; English Secondary Education students who have taken two or more creative writing classes at Appalachian are also eligible to enter. The annual scholarship competition alternates between poetry and creative prose.

The current 2013-14 scholarship holder is Stephanie Estep; Devan Francis was the runner-up. Next year's competition will be in creative prose, with a March 2015 deadline.
